pottery workshops
Covington Clay offers a variety of pottery workshops for small groups in the Cincinnati area. These include corporate team-building, parent/child, 4-H and Girl Scout clay-badge programs. Workshops are tailored to the needs of the group and generally require scheduling two 2-hour sessions in our Northern Kentucky studio. The first workshop involves creating the pottery from clay; the second class involves decorating and glazing it. All of the ceramic projects are hand-built and do not require the use of a potter's wheel.
For corporate team building, 4-H or Girl Scout Badge programs, our all-inclusive fees range from $15/person to $50/person depending on the complexity of the projects involved. Please call or email our studio if you are interested in recieving a price-quote for your group.
Parent/child pottery workshops are structured a little differently and are designed as a joint activity for an adult over 21 and a child who is at least 8. Each “team” works in the studio on two occasions. During the first session we make our projects from wet clay. Two weeks later, we meet again to decorate and glaze our work. In an otherwise drop-off/pick-up world, this workshop offers a chance to be creative, learn and have fun together. The total fee is $100 per couple and the adult and the child each make their own pottery creations.
